Avocado Loaf Cake

Yield: 6 servings
¾cups Shortening; creamed
2cups Sugar
3  Eggs
2cups Sifted all-purpose flour
3teaspoon Cinnamon
¾teaspoon Salt
¾teaspoon Allspice
2teaspoon Vanilla
teaspoon Baking soda
cups Pureed avocado (2 average
¾cups Buttermilk
½cups Walnuts; chopped
¾cups Raisins
  Corn syrup (optional)
½cups Walnuts; chopped (optional)

Preheat oven to 350F. Mix sugar and shortening. Beat eggs slightly; stir into shortening mixture; add half of flour; beat until smooth; add rest of flour, a little at a time; beat until well-mixed. Place all other ingredients in separate bowl (save last ingredient for sprinkling on top, if desired), blend and add to flour mixture.
